Heart Rot

Heart Rot is a NYC-based independent rock band composed of Lily McMahan, Maya Lagman, and Ceci Williams. Inspired by quiet-loud dynamics of the 1990s, emotion and texture characterize our songs: a balance of soft, delicate sounds with grittier, expansive choruses. We also weave in our experiences as girls and connection to the natural world into our lyrics and sound to achieve a piece of art that feels really authentic and unique to us. We take pride in the act of creation, which manifests in many different areas of our band. For example, we hand make each piece of merch out of second hand clothing and design our own photoshoots, album covers, and music videos.
